Wedding in Civita di Bagnoregio: everlasting love in a ‘Castle in the Sky’

In 2019, Musica Evento provided the musical entertainment for a memorable wedding in Civita di Bagnoregio.

This stunning “dying city” sitting on a crumbling high plateau inspired Hayao Miyazaki’s masterpiece “Castle in the Sky” and became the perfect backdrop for Julia and Brenden’s celebration of love.

Our romantic American couple’s ceremony took place in Domus Civita, a private residence owned by a prestigious Italian architect.

The reception unfolded throughout the village – the cocktail was held in the main square accompanied by accordion music, the delicious dinner was served at La Cantina di Arianna, and the dance floor was set up in the courtyard beside the church where Musica Evento’s Italian Swing and Jazz Band took the stage.

The guests danced all night, enchanted by both the breathtaking setting and the vibrant atmosphere created by Musica Evento’s Italian Swing and Jazz Band. The groom even joined the band on stage to perform an emotional rendition of ‘Stand by me’ for his beautiful bride, what a lovely moment to witness!

This event was a perfect blend of American and Italian culture, proving that Civita offers couples something truly extraordinary: a chance to celebrate everlasting love in a magical place that seems to float between earth and sky.
